Leftover Paper Angel Ornaments
Prognosis: Excellent.
I call these leftover because I made them with materials and tools I had on hand from other projects. No new Amazon purchases or trips to the craft store. They only take about 10 minutes to make and are easy enough that they can be done with kids. No hot glue involved!
Materials for 1 ornament:
One 12″x 12″sheet of cardstock or scrapbooking paper of your choice, twine, one 3/4″ wood bead
Tools:
Glue stick, scissors, mini clothespins
Step 1: Cut paper into a 15 cm x 15 cm piece and a second 10 cm x 15 cm piece. Pay attention to the orientation.
Step 2: Fold each sheet of paper accordion style. For the 10 cm x 15 cm piece, you want the width to be the 10 cm side.
Step 3: Glue the top section to the bottom section. Secure with clothespins until glue dries
Step 4: Fold ornament in half.
Step 5: Tie twine (or other similar sized ribbon or string that will fit through the wood bead) around the center. String bead. Tie a knot at the top to create the hanging loop.
Step 7: Glue the bottom halves together to create a skirt. Hold together with clothes pins until the glue dries.
Step 8: Once the glue has dried, remove clothespins and hang on the tree!
