Honeycomb Paper Ornaments
Prognosis: Good
Inspired by multiple you tube videos, these ornaments are easy to do, just lots of cutting! Splurging on a 3 inch hole punch ($22 on Amazon) would probably give this project an excellent prognosis, saving time and producing a cleaner result.
I used 10 sheets of glitter card stock and 10 sheets of patterned card stock to make 10 ornaments (2 sheets of 12 x 12 card stock per ornament). Each globe is made up of 20 circles.
Step 1: Trace out 10 circles on each sheet of card stock you are using. I used a roll of packing tape to trace my circles. Cut circles out.
Step 2: Fold circles in half with design/color facing inward. Glue semicircles together with glue stick. Clip with clothespins. Let glue dry.
Step 3: Adhere hanging ribbon with glue and glue gun to the spine of the glued circles. Attach the 2 ends of the stack together to make a sphere. Clip with small clothespins until glue dries.
Step 4: Clean up the edges with a small pair of scissors. Hang on the tree and enjoy!
Treatment Plan: If making a large quantity, I recommend purchasing a 3 to 4 inch hole punch depending on how big you want your ornaments. Bigger ornaments will require more sheets of card stock.
